If you need to get air very fast swing, on a traffic light or light pole by jumping towards it while holding B. While on it press LT repeatedly until Spider-Man swings very fast then press A to jump. You will get big air. This is useful for the Mary Jane thrill rides.

On the last Dr. Connors part 2 mission, hold Slow Motion while putting in the serum into the canister. As soon as you come into play Web-Zip to the left onto the platform. Note: Do not jump, Web-Zip only. Stay there and do not move. No Lizards will appear. Just wait for the time to run out.

After you have completed the Final Showdown mission, swing somewhere far then go on the map and look for the Financial District. Go there. Go to the left until you see a glass building. That is the construction site after it was broken Note: You will see the little square that you was fighting in with Venom and Sandman.

When fighting Kraven on the second part, there is an unlimited amount of lizards which enter through the red smoke. Jump there and wait for the lizards to come out. When standing there, Kraven is unable to jump up and cannot harm you. Because you have the Symbiotic Suit, you will have a purple meter which can give you a rage mode. Fill it and trigger the rage mode. You can then jump back down to Kraven and press the RB + Y to jump up and slam down on him. Repeat this until you can begin the button sequence. Note: Kraven might be able to jump on the ledge near the entrance once or twice. If he does, jump down. When he follows, jump back up and continue. Also, if the lizards stop appearing, jump down and kill some of them then go to the red smoke and they will come out again.

When you are trying to open the boarded up windows, if you are far away from him he will do a long jump towards you. Then it takes him a few seconds to recover to attack. Before he jumps, do not stand in the yellow circles. Instead, stand next to the wall opposite the windows. He will now jump to there, recover, etc. While he is recovering, pull down the boards. When he jumps into the light, attack him. Keep doing this until his and his wife's life runs out to complete the level.
He will fly around, etc. When he lines up, use the Spider-Wall to damage him and he will land. Attack him and repeat this strategy.

Wait until Michael is about to rush you, then open the window. He will be temporarily weakened. Beat him up. Shriek will heal him, losing some of her health. Repeat this until he dies, and she flees the scene.

In your first encounter with Sandman, do not try to attack him, just stay close to him. Counter-attack him several times on different levels to finally battle him. Unfortunately, you must use the Black suit to damage him. Just hit him around until you are prompted to give him a bath. Keep doing this cycle until you defeat him.
Sandman will create a mini-tornado and you cannot hit him. Use your Spidey senses to dodge the flying bars and wait until he throws a tank at you. Press B when prompted and send it back at him, allowing you to beat him up. Do not get over-confident, as he will start up his tornado and do some damage. Repeat this until he dies.
The second battle with Sandman is very easy. Just dodge when your Spidey senses alert you and run to the yellow circles when they appear. Complete the prompts to throw TNT barrels into Sandman. Eventually Harry will kill him, ending Sandman.

She has a shield, so do not worry about her. Stand next to a satellite and wait until your Spidey senses activate. Press LT and dodge, causing her to damage her crystal. Repeat this until she runs away.
In your final encounter with Shriek, she temporarily takes away your Black suit, and figures from your imagination attack you (your loved ones). You can kill them with one hit, but it is pointless. Wait until the Black suit recharges, then switch over, revealing your true enemies. Attack Shriek until she changes you back to the old Spider-Man. Repeat the previous steps and she will collapse.

Dodge him and wait until he shoots missiles at you. Press B to send them back. This will cause him to land and you can hit him. Keep doing this until he dies.

You must first defeat The Hunter. Use the Black suit and it will be easy. You will then catch up with the new and improved Lizard. Stand by a generator and wait until he is about to strike, then dodge. He will hit the generator and shock himself. This will also shock you. Repeat this until you must counter-attack him and ride his back. Use the Left Analog-stick to balance and he will run into one. Then, the last one shuts off and you must turn it back on. Go over to the switch, and if done quickly enough, press Y to turn it back on. Ride his back one more time to defeat him.

Before this battle, go to the upgrade menu and make sure you have the melee attack volley. Then, fight. Depending on your health level, you may or may not want to use the power up. At the moment, you can easily jump over Venom, confuse him, and chip away at his health. Keep doing this until his black suit begins to 'glow'. Now when you jump over him he will run away. This is a good opportunity to use your new attack and chip at him, occasionally giving some hits. Keep hitting him until his 'glow' gets bigger and eventually Harry will tell you to knock Venom into the air. He'll fall back to the ground same as before, easily confused. Repeat this cycle until his health is really low and you can finish him off.
To defeat Venom in the first battle, use upgraded vaulting to Vault Web or Jab. Do this repeatedly until he is defeated.
Use the following trick for an easy victory the first and second time you face Venom. When you meet Venom for the first time at the construction site, you must beat him down in five minutes or else Mary Jane will die. A easy way to do this is to defeat Venom in version one. It should be very easy). Version two is slightly harder, but all you have to do is watch his five punch combo. The last punch is his super punch. After he is done with his combo, beat him up. Repeat this until Venom turns into version three. You cannot do much once he is in his full power. Watch carefully and you should see a flashing symbol. Follow what the game instructs you to do and you should win. This works on both fights.
In the final battle with Venom, it is just the two of you. Repeat the previously listed steps to defeat him. When his 'glow' is very high, run over to the metal bars and follow the prompt. This will slowly remove the suit off him. Just keep fighting him until he dies.
The final button combination to defeat Venom is Up, A, Left, A(2), B, LB, X, LB, Y, RT.
Use Upgraded Vaulting skills and use it against him until he is defeated.
The easy way to defeat the second Venom is to jump around and fire adrenaline web. When his glow is high, go to the prompt circle and press the selected button.

Immediately after you defeat The Sandman for the first time in the 'Mary Jane's Favorite Band' mission and before you 'Meet Mary Jane At The Restaurant', you cannot take off the Black suit. During this time period, which does not end until you start the next mission, you can wear the Black suit without any damage being done to you. Use this time to clear the city of all gang activity. This may take awhile, but it is easier with the Black suit.

When you find a ambulance, it should be on top of the truck. Otherwise, try to complete one of the story mode missions.

This tip is helpful when doing a combat tour or fighting multiple enemies. Doing a ROFL Copter (Y(2), X(4)) is very helpful and attacks multiple enemies that are near at the same time. Also, when playing in the Black suit, pressing LB + A while in rage will pick up all the nearby enemies and hit them, doing a lot of damage.
Use the following trick to defeat Apocalypse Gang members, Arsenic Candy girls, and Dr. Connor's Lizard Creations in one hit. Jump up in the air and pull the enemy up to you. Next, very quickly press B when they are close then Y repeatedly. You will pile drive their head in to the ground. This move will only defeat the lower level gang members in one hit. In order to do this on the ones with weapons, you must be Symbiotic Spider-Man in Rage mode. They will lose 75% of their health. For the order on the Dragon Tail members, this move will take down their health to about 90%.

Get at least Bronze on all easy and medium trick races.

As Black costume Spider-Man, you can find the meteorite fragments (small rock-like objects surrounded by a purple/pink glow) by listening for a pulsating sound. The louder it gets, the closer you are.

Cars can be moved by finding a cardboard box in a warehouse or any other location. Push it outside into the street. You can then push the box into the car and the car will move just as if you were pushing the box.

When there is a mission available for the Daily Bugle, go to it. Go inside the building and talk to Robbie. When he assigns you a project, leave the building and go back in. You will notice the nav point is now showing up from inside the building. Wait up to seven minutes inside the building. You will get a mission failed (you wasted to much time, Eddie has taken your job). You have two options, 'Retry' or 'Do something else'. Select 'Do something else' and you should then appear on top of the Daily Bugle as Peter Parker. Walk over to the race on top of the building but do not start it. When you get the 'Press A to start mission' message you will now have the ability to use A, which is punch. Walk over to the edge of the building and hold Forward and do uppercuts until Peter falls off the building. You are now Peter Parker in the city. All you can do is run around and punch or web. To exit this mode, die. When you respawn on top of the building go in the Daily Bugle and come back out. Note: This was only tested as Dark Spider-Man but should work for both forms.

When you go to a crime area controlled by the police, you will be assigned a task involving a random gang. On completion of the tasks the effectiveness of the police will be increased (as seen by the rings around the police symbol on the map). The more rings you have, the harder it is for gangs to take control of police-controlled areas and the more likely it is for the police to take over gang controlled areas.

The maximum height limit is about 850 feet in the air. To do to get up there, find a Dragon Tail Member and jump web yank. Press A when they are at your feet and you should jump up. Then, web yank them again and repeat. This only works with Dragon Tail Members because they will block your attack when you jump off them in the air. Even if they lose health at first, just keep doing it. Once they recover from the first jump they will start blocking the attacks.

Choose any of the gang patrol missions (Apocalypse, Dragon Tails, H-Bombers, Waste Tribe) and defeat all of their marked territories that match their logos to earn 3 experience points.

If you've finished the game but want the 200 miles achievement go to the tellest building on the game(one with giant aeriel). When your at the top press the right trigger and spiderman will swing round the pole, you can make him swing round in big circles and this way it takes about 5 mins to rack up 25 miles.(this is also the tower where you can get the achievement for taking a photo at a great height)

While swinging through the city you might hear a chime. This indicates that you are close to a token.

Throughout the game if you watch the traffic enough, other cars besides those of criminals will hit one another and dent up the rear of the car.

Play around with the Z + C combination to do different things, such as moving like a ceiling fan while under the monorail.

There is a way to cut the distance you have to travel. Get to the Daily Bugle. Get in between two smoke towers. You can use your Spider-Sense to find it. Look in the direction you want to go, then press Square and tap Left Analog-stick Down.

When an enemy is running away from you, press Circle. You will stun their eye and make it easier to kill them.

As Black suit Spider-Man, use your slow motion to dodge the King-Pin's attacks. Build up your 'Rage Mode'. Once in 'Rage Mode' you can attack as normal.

To defeat Venom in the grand finale mission, hold L1 and run and hit the boxes which drive him crazy. By holding L1 while doing this, you will have more time to run while your opponent is in slow motion.

You can't take a bridge to the other side because of invisible barriers. I have found a way to get past them. However, you are very limited to what you can do. First, go to the Manhattan Bridge because it is a long one. Go within barriers and be on the side of the bridge where cars are heading to the barrier and beyond (right side). Jump on one of the cars and immediately enter Photo Mode. Hopefully, the car will continue driving and will drive past the barrier. You are still alive and are able to move around, zoom in, and take photos. You cannot leave Photo Mode because you will be catapulted back to the barrier. You can go as far as the other borough that is heavily lighted in the night time. At a certain point (usually when the bridge ends), you will reach a gray screen, and the only thing you can do is push the Start button and start over.

To get angry without having do fight enemies, simply tap R1 repeatedly. Spider-Man will make a shaking hand motion and will scream. The longer you tap R1, the more rage you will build up.

Some civilians are gender/race confused. They will talk to you with voices that will not match their appearance.

There are times when people may appear as exclamation points and they cannot get hurt.

When you are fighting venom press L1 while you are breaking it at the same time for everyone you do. And that will unlock venom for free roam.

Go to the daily bugle and use your spidey sense to find to smoke towers. Then go slightly in between them and press square. then it will tell you to move the left analog stick down multiple times. then you will fly great distances. This is useful to get around the city faster. First try both directions out and then plan when you want to use them in missions. Or just use it for fun.
